Your information
Hearth is the app for the HomeBuilders retreats. HomeBuilders Ministry (Pathway Baptist Church) is responsible for your information. OarTree builds and hosts Hearth for HomeBuilders as HomeBuilders' service provider. This page says what Hearth keeps about you, what it's for, and how to change your mind.
What Hearth keeps
- Your name and email address, and the names of the people in your party.
- Your church and town, if you or your coordinator add them.
- Whether you've confirmed, which sessions each of you picked, and any time you book with a presenter.
- On the retreat weekend, whether you've checked in and picked up your notebook.
- Questions you send the panel, and anything you send with "Help us make Hearth better".
- Your mobile number, but only if you turn on text alerts. We also keep when you agreed, where, and the exact words you agreed to.
- If you're a presenter, the photo and the few lines about you that your coordinator adds.
What it's for
Running the retreat: sending your sign-in link, the schedule, rooms and sessions, check-in, and texts on the retreat weekend about changes to times, rooms or the weather. Nothing else.
Who sees it
- Your retreat's coordinators see what you registered and chose, so they can plan the weekend.
- Greeters see your name to check you in. Presenters see how many people are coming to their session, and who booked time with them.
- The panel never sees your name on a question you send.
- What you send with "Help us make Hearth better" goes to the people at OarTree who build Hearth, with your name, so they can write back.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Hearth uses a few companies to do its work: one to send email, one to send texts, and one to host the app. They handle your information only to do that work for HomeBuilders.
Hearth doesn't use advertising or tracking. It keeps one cookie, so you stay signed in.
Text alerts
Text alerts are off unless you turn them on yourself, on the Text alerts page. Each person decides for themselves. Your mobile number is used only to text you about the retreat you registered for: on the retreat weekend, plus one text to confirm when you sign up.
To stop, turn texts off on the Text alerts page. It works straight away. Or reply STOP to any message. We keep the record that you agreed and then stopped, so it's clear you're not to be texted.
The full terms are on the text message terms page.
Changing or removing your information
Ask your retreat coordinator at info@homebuildersministry.org. They can fix a name, take someone out of your party, or cancel your registration.
